One of the top five generic pharmaceutical companies worldwide, boasting over $5 billion in revenue and a workforce exceeding 40,000 employees globally. For nearly a decade, Jekson Vision has been their steadfast partner in providing Vision Inspection and Track and Trace solutions across India and beyond.
The customer came to Jekson with a challenge which required a system that would be capable of conducting dual aggregation on one system itself.
At the client's facility in Baddi, India, Jekson systems have already been installed on their bottling line since 2016, adhering to global pharma regulations for ROW Markets exclusively. However, the client required compliance with USFDA regulations as well, necessitating an upgrade. The client posed a unique challenge to us – where they would acquire our system while maximizing the use of existing hardware.
Solution Provided by Jekson:
Recognizing the need for a seamless integration approach, Jekson devised a solution leveraging its existing hardware. Though the client's setup initially lacked Jekson's Bulk 2D or 360-degree aggregation capabilities, the upgrade demanded four essential systems:
- A label inspection camera
- 360-degree aggregation between helper code and bottle label code
- Bulk 2D for Two levels of aggregation (Bundle and Shipper)
- An existing Pallet System which required the latest software update
Utilizing the available hardware, including cameras, printers on Label applicator, and TTO printers (on Manual Aggregation system), Jekson engineered a solution focusing on bundle and shipper aggregation on a single System. This consolidation not only addressed compliance requirements but also saved significant floor space.
Implementation:
To accommodate the new requirements, Jekson developed a System capable of Facilitating two levels of aggregation (Bundle with Shrink Wrap and Shipper or Shipper and Pallet), meeting USFDA guidelines. This innovative system employed two IPCs, two displays, two scanners, and two printers, facilitating single and or dual aggregation processes.
Collaboration:
Jekson's Sales, Design, and Development teams collaborated closely within a tight timeframe to deliver the Dual Aggregation System, demonstrating the company's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
How Did the Customer Benefit From this Unique Solution:
- Increased efficiency: The Dual Aggregation System reduces manpower requirements by performing multiple tasks on a Single Station with a Single operator.
- Error reduction: Consolidating Two different aggregation processes into a single station minimizes error rates associated with manual interventions.
- Floor space optimization: By accommodating both levels of aggregation within a single system, Jekson's solution maximizes floor space utilization, enhancing operational efficiency for the client.
